Complete your routine

The Meltdown Machine is a 17-oz electric wax warmer and wax heater for hair removal. This full-size wax machine has a digital temperature display, adjustable dial, and removable silicone liner for hard wax cleanup. Pair it with Full On Meltdown Vegan Hard Wax for body waxing or I'm Sensitive Meltdown Vegan Hard Wax for facial waxing.

  • Capacity: Up to 17 oz of hard wax, or a 500 ml can of soft wax.
  • Temperature control: Adjustable from 95 to 257°F, with a digital display.
  • Indicator: Red while heating; green when the selected temperature is reached.
  • Cleanup: Removable silicone liner for lifting out cooled hard wax.

Warmer and silicone liner included

This is the warmer with its silicone liner. Wax and applicators are sold separately. If you need wax and tools together, the Crybaby Wax Starter Kit includes this full-size warmer, a choice of hard wax, applicators, and pull tabs.

Choose full-size or mini

Choose The Meltdown Machine for larger batches and body waxing sessions. For small facial touch-ups, the Mini Meltdown Machine is the compact USB-C option. Compare both on our wax warmers collection.

Temperature control and wax readiness

The 95 to 257°F range describes the warmer's adjustable settings. Follow the wax formula's directions for melting and application. A green light means the selected temperature has been reached; it does not establish that the wax is ready for skin. Stir the wax, allow it to cool as needed, and test a small amount before application.

Add a grip: Pair with Stiff Upper Rip Wax Pull Tabs to add a built-in handle to every hard wax strip you pull. Patented two-zone design, biodegradable paper, works with any hard wax.

How to Use
  • Plug wax warmer in. The screen will display OFF.
  • Dial turns 360° to adjust temperature. Temperature can be adjusted with one click turn of the dial. The starting temperature is 95°F and the highest temperature is 257°F.
  • Quickly turn the dial to set the desired temperature.
  • The bottom light will appear red as it’s heating. Once warmer reaches the constant and desired temperature, it will turn green.
  • To turn off the wax warmer, turn the dial counterclockwise to the lowest temperature of 95°F. Then, click one time counterclockwise to turn the unit off.

The green light indicates that the selected temperature has been reached. Follow your wax formula's melting and application directions, allow the wax to cool as needed, and test a small amount before use.

FAQ

Find the most frequently asked questions below.

  • To clean the outside of the warmer: Make sure The Meltdown Machine Wax Warmer is turned off, completely cool, and unplugged. Wipe any excess wax off with baby oil or alcohol. Do not use water or soap!
  • To clean the silicone liner: Remove any dried, excess wax from the liner. Spray and wipe the inside and outside of the silicone bowl with alcohol to help dissolve any remaining wax. Dishwasher safe. Do NOT use baby oil.

  • To turn on the warmer, turn the dial clockwise to select the desired temperature. The bottom light will turn green when the desired temperature is reached.
  • To turn off the wax warmer, turn the dial counterclockwise to the lowest temperature of 95°F. Follow up with one firm click to the left to turn the unit off.

  • Place the silicone liner in the warmer and add 3-4 ounces of hard wax beads for a small batch.
  • Plug in the unit and use the dial to follow the wax formula's melting directions. Stay with the warmer while it is heating.
  • Once the wax has melted, reduce the setting as directed for your wax and allow it to cool to the recommended working consistency. Newly melted wax can be too hot for skin.
  • Stir and test a small amount before application. The green light alone does not establish that wax is ready to use.

  • Stir the melted wax with Get a Grip Face & Body Applicators or a suitable wax applicator.
  • Follow the temperature and consistency directions for the specific wax formula. Allow the wax to cool as needed; do not apply it while it is too hot.
  • The green light shows that the warmer has reached the selected setting. It does not measure whether the wax is ready for skin.
  • Always test a small amount on your inner arm before waxing the treatment area. If it feels too hot, stop and allow it to cool further.
